Thorns of Love

This is a accumulation of art based on my new book: Thorns of Love:

 Title page to my new book about a race of elves with alien armor.  My title page to my new book! ‘Thorns of Love’ I’m only 8 chapters in and the third draft. It is a tragic fantasy love story based on a man who becomes king of the kingdom Amist on a dying planet. He falls in love with a beautiful young girl who was appointed to him through a force marriage to unite two kingdoms… It takes her a while to warm up to him though.

 An introduction to my new book 'Thorns of Love' a tragic fantasy love story based on a man who falls in love with a girl that finds him unattractive and repulsive because he is so much different than the people of the dying planet. Will she accept him? Or continue to deny the forced union until the planet takes its last breath? 

 My original characters are in a battle...their last battle before the world subsequently ends. Their armor is alien and their race is Elvin.

My character, Neil's power goes out of control and he begins to change and get aggressive. Who will win in this great battle? 

 A splash page towards the end of my tragic story where the instigator, laying with a sword to his face by my protagonist, he is scoffing in his face as blood dribbles down his smirk expression telling my protagonist that the planet is already too late to be saved by anyone. Their war is over.

 Typography made in Photoshop CS5...Jelly could have been done better...but overall I liked how it turned out. 

Typography done in Photoshop. I drew Kaneda and Tetsuo all in sharpie and tech pens. Traditional mixed in with digital. The Espers; Kiyoko: "But someday we ought to be able to..." Masaru: "Because it has already begun..." said this at the end of the movie, there have been many speculation as to what this quote means exactly. However, I believe that its meaning is that of the universe being destroyed by man's control of an ultimate power. "Because it has already begun..." is precursor to the universe's rebirth. Anymore speculations is appreciated. 

Final Transition

My final output of my project done in two ways...one; completely digitally done and the other; my hybrid work with traditional drawings in the background and digital in the foreground.

I've drawn the background completely with sharpies and combined it with my digital (Photoshop) work. I used nature as the background with lush trees and wooded fields because the planet is mostly vegetation with no civilized habitat even existing.
I've depicted a very primitive and otherwise healthy, lush environment.

As of now, I've completed this project but any thoughts are greatly appreciated to further develop this project!

Fiona The...Drama Queen

Fiona Whitier: Original Character

Alore citizen. She had a good life back on her home planet of Alore, but she accidentally got mixed up with Kat’s destiny and now she’s on a mysterious planet with suspicious beings and all she wants to do is get back to her normal life! She’s ignorant of the upcoming future and doesn't want any part of it; reluctant on this journey. She is snobbish and bossy, winy and dramatic. But she can have fun where ever she is at and likes to live it up!

Powers--She is a pyro and has problems controlling her powers; as does everyone on her home planet of Alore. So, she uses a special machine to control and limit her powers

April The All Knowing and Understanding

April Kattina: Original Character

A Cyborg alien from the depths and crevasses of space; from a planet that has long been destroyed. She tries to find her purpose in life other than the purpose that was previously destined to her as an alien life form and that is to reproduce the alien race in other words, what she’s programmed to do, to take over the universe itself seemingly. She plans to defy all of her heritage and make her own way; to change the universe for the better, dispelling all that is wrong with it. She is passive-aggressive and somewhat dramatic in situations. But she can also be caring and understanding.

Powers-- lightning and electricity, she can produce high electric storms and is extremely fast on her feet. She absorbs energy and uses it for her strength

Niome The Beautiful

Niome Lang: Original Character

Princess of the Purities, the purities are a spiritual species possessing an eternal life; a life of pure and white. Her family is one of the high rank of the purities and is corrupt; being impure. She will try to save her family from themselves and restore order to the spirit world. She is overly pessimistic and only sees all that is wrong with, in others’ lives. She possesses no confidence in herself and of her destiny. 

Powers--Can be able to wield all that is light and all that is darkness.
